Here is our 4 point plan for holding indoor services in accordance with Governor Murphy’s most recent Executive Order allowing for a maximum of 50 persons to gather while wearing face coverings:

1-Ushers will open the single door to the Sanctuary to allow worshipers to enter before and during services and take each person’s temperature then after service open the double doors to allow worshipers to exit the Sanctuary.

2-Worshipers will be seated by individual households and staggered so as to provide a distance of at least 6 feet between individuals.

3-Fellowship and Children’s Sunday School will remain suspended for the time being.

4-We will arrange to have the Sanctuary cleaned and sanitized before services.

Hi Church,

Calvary Chapel Kearny has been evaluating the impact of the Coronavirus on the church and its members and reviewing all our procedures.  With constant news coverage it seems like there is a lot of panic surrounding COVID-19, the novel strain of this virus. As a church we are taking additional precautions to ensure that we keep our facilities clean. There are antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizers throughout  the building.

Symptoms of COVD-19 include fever, cough and shortness of breath. In order to keep yourself and others safe please:
·       Do not attend service or ministry events if you are sick or showing any symptoms of illness. If your children are ill or showing any symptoms of illness, please keep them home to avoid the potential of spreading to others.
·       Practice social distancing – when greeting opt for fist or elbow pumps instead of shaking hands. No shaking of hands at service.
·       Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
·       Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. It’s a good habit to avoid touching your face as germs can spread through your nose, mouth and eyes.
·       Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. If tissue is not available, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeves not your hands. Throw used tissues in the trash.
·       Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
·       Clean and disinfect surfaces you frequently use such as “high touch” areas in your workspace, car and home.

We have included a link from the Centers of Disease Control regarding this new strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how to keep yourself safe:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/home/cleaning-disinfection.html

Should there be a need to cancel services or ministry events we will alert you via e-mail and/or texts. We will have regular updates on our website.
